The case shot was a cannon ball or shell that was filled with iron balls, wood, glass, or just about anything else they could fit in it. when the shot was fired it would send whatever was in it rainning down on the enemies causing intens damage. Injures could go from a cut from glass or wood to a broken bone from the iron balls or worse DEATH.

65 lb Cannonball. Civil War artifacts can show up just about anywhere. Such is the case with this cannonball. A friend of mine found this one in a pawn shop in Winchester Ky.
